1995-1998- Self employed with a home based business. (Taxes, Resumes, Databases, Bookkeeping, Spreadsheets, Computer Tutoring, and Web Pages)
1986-1987- United Sates Postal Service, Livonia MI. I was a mechanic at the Vehicle Maintenance Facility.
Reason for leaving: Hired as casual; temporary employment.
1977-1986- KarLife Battery, Madison Heights MI. Manager of store #2 located on Nine- Mile Rd, Warren MI.
Reason for leaving: Owner passed away forcing the closure of the business.
1970-1977- Dave's Marathon, Wyandotte MI. Manager and mechanic responsible for writing estimates, service orders, quality control, and time management.
Reason for leaving: The building was leased, when the lease expired the owner sold the building forcing company to relocate. I was unable to wait for the company to relocate about 6 months later.
Education:
Graduate from Harrison Adult Education in 1989 with a 4.0 G.P.A. Honor roll student.
Graduate of Mid Michigan Community College in May 1995. Upon graduating I received three Associate Degrees: Accounting, Management and Marketing, and Small Business Management.
Computer Experience:
I work fluently with computer programs such as: Microsoft Works 3.0 for DOS, Microsoft Works 3.0 for windows, Word 2.0 for windows. I also know Microsoft Office Professional that consists of: Microsoft Word 6.0, Microsoft Excel 5.0, Microsoft Access 2.0, and Power Point 4.0. I also work with PageMaker 5.0, Word Perfect 5.1, Word Perfect 5.2, Lotus 123 R2.3, Word Perfect 6.0, Dbase IV, Quattro Pro 6.0, Quickbooks, versions 3.0 & 4.0. Windows 95 and Microsoft Office 97 are also other programs I know quite well.
Community Services:
I am presently a certified tutor with the Clare Gladwin Literacy Council. Every year my family and I take part in the Muscular Dystrophy Association functions. Also I volunteer my time to work with the local Family Independence Agency preparing taxes for senior citizens.
